Career & About
Introduction
Curiously driven, product and cross-disciplinary designer with over a decade of experience in blending craft, creativity, and thinking to build meaningful products. In my career I’ve worked for and partnered with brands ranging from startups & design studios to global companies, including NASA, Prime Video, eBay, Verizon, and more.
Philosophy
Today we’re living in a moment of acceleration. AI can generate almost anything, tools can design without the designer, and software can increasingly build itself more and more.
Creation has never been more accessible. Yet truly meaningful craft has never felt more rare. When everything becomes easy
to make in the world, care and craft become the real differentiator to measure value, and what people are looking for in everything they use.
Design today is not just to produce, but to choose, to refine, to remove and to shape every detail with the same intention as carving a guilloche pattern into the face of a watch: precisely, slowly, and with a deep sense of respect for the process and final outcome.
Delight, doesn’t come from noise or ornamentation, but from restraint, clarity, and the quiet confidence of something made with purpose. This matters more than ever as we drift into a sea of sameness, where speed replaces thought and output replaces meaning, and where people begin to treasure the rare things
that still feel intentional, human, and crafted with love.
”In a world of scarcity, we treasure tools.
In a world of abundance, we treasure taste.”

Mymind Web
Project Snapshot
Role: Lead Product Designer
Focus Areas: Product Architecture, Onboarding Experience, Engagement Design, Interaction
Outcome: Improved onboarding clarity, introduced multiple non-intrusive engagement systems to foster habitual return, helped evolve the core web/desktop experience used by a global user base.
Problem Approach
Traditional knowledge tools rely on folders, tags, and manual organization, as collections grow, managing information becomes a task in itself. Mymind takes a different approach, AI quietly organizes, catalogues, and identifies relationships between saved content, letting users focus on collecting ideas and things that inspire them, with everything just a simple search away.
Product Information
At the center of Mymind is the web/desktop experience, the primary environment where users interact with their growing personal knowledge archive. Rather than relying on folders, tags, or manual organization, Mymind uses AI to structure and surface relationships between saved content. The system quietly organizes information in the background, allowing complexity to exist beneath the surface while the interface remains simple and approachable.
This shifts the experience away from managing information and toward collecting, rediscovering, searching, and connecting ideas over time. As more content is saved, patterns begin to emerge naturally, turning a collection of references into a living knowledge space.
Role Outline
One of my primary initiatives was redesigning the onboarding experience to create a clearer and more intuitive entry point into the product. Rather than approaching onboarding as a traditional tutorial, the goal was to establish an emotional foundation aligned with Mymind’s philosophy, introducing the product through moments that demonstrate value while maintaining a sense of calm, trust, and simplicity.
I also led the concept and design of the achievements system, exploring how engagement could exist within the product without relying on conventional gamification. The system reframes milestones as personal discoveries rather than performance metrics, using collectible objects, selective moments of celebration, and subtle progression to encourage curiosity and long-term desire to collect that fosters habitual return through delight.
Alongside these initiatives, I contributed to the ongoing evolution of the product by refining interaction patterns, visual systems, and discovery mechanisms across the web/desktop experience. Working within a small team meant design decisions often directly shaped product direction, requiring close collaboration with engineering and leadership to translate potential ideas into cohesive product experiences.
Challenges
Designing Mymind meant working without many of the signals modern products typically rely on. There were no behavioral dashboards, funnels, or engagement metrics to optimize against. Instead, product decisions were informed through qualitative research, long-term conversations with users, and careful observation of how the product fit into people’s daily workflows. This constraint shaped the design process in a fundamental way from day one. Rather than optimizing for measurable engagement, the focus shifted toward clarity of intent, meaningful interactions, and long-term trust.
On web/desktop, the challenge became even more pronounced. As users accumulate hundreds or thousands of saved items, the interface needed to support scale without overwhelming the experience with structure or controls. The goal was to allow complexity to exist beneath the surface while keeping the interface calm, simple, and approachable.
At the same time, many familiar product patterns such as feeds, metrics, and attention-driven mechanics were intentionally excluded. Designing alternative ways to foster reflection, rediscovery, and habitual use, without exploiting attention became one of the defining challenges of the product.
Takeaways
By prioritizing privacy, calmness, and user ownership of information, the product establishes a fundamentally different relationship between people and their digital knowledge. Instead of optimizing for activity or accumulation, the experience focuses on memory, connection, and effortless rediscovery.
Saved content becomes part of a living knowledge space that evolves with the user over time. Features work together to surface relationships between ideas, helping collections feel meaningful rather than overwhelming.
One of the most important lessons from this work was that restraint can be a strategic advantage.
By deliberately avoiding feeds, metrics, and social comparison, the product creates an environment that respects attention while still encouraging ongoing engagement.
As part of a small, focused team, design decisions had a direct influence on the direction of the product. The result is a system that operates across platforms, serves a global audience, and demonstrates that thoughtful, privacy-first products can scale while remaining calm, personal, and deeply human.

Mymind Mobile
Project Snapshot
Role: Lead Product Designer
Focus Areas: Product Architecture, Capture Experience, Retrieval & Discovery, Interaction Systems
Outcome: Defined the mobile companion experience, enabling intuitive capture and contextual retrieval of personal knowledge from anywhere, anytime in seconds for a global user base.
Problem Approach
Capturing inspiration often happens away from structured work environments, in fleeting moments where speed and simplicity matter most. Mymind’s mobile experience focuses on instant capture and effortless retrieval, allowing ideas, notes, and references to be saved, rediscovered, and connected naturally wherever inspiration appears.
Product Information
The companion to Mymind’s desktop environment is the mobile app, an effortless portal where users access their growing personal knowledge archive. Rather than replicating the full desktop interface, the mobile experience focuses on immediacy, capture, and quick recall wherever inspiration appears.
This shifts the mobile experience away from managing information and toward capturing, rediscovering, searching, and connecting ideas anywhere. As more content is captured, patterns begin to emerge naturally, these patterns are emphasized through supporting features such as Serendipity, turning everyday inspiration into a living knowledge space over time.
Role Outline
One of my primary initiatives was shaping the mobile experience as a companion portal to the flagship desktop product, focusing on how ideas are captured and accessed on the go. Rather than compressing desktop functionality into a smaller screen, the goal was to design an interaction model centered around immediacy and clarity, allowing users to quickly save inspiration, revisit ideas, and surface meaningful connections while maintaining the calm, intuitive character that defines Mymind.
I also led the exploration of mobile-native discovery mechanisms that help users uncover relationships within their saved content. Features like SameVibe and contextual Spaces transform individual references into connected clusters of ideas, enabling users to reveal visual patterns, shared attributes, and related inspiration instantly. This approach shifts interaction away from browsing rigid structures toward a system where discovery emerges naturally from the content itself.
Alongside these initiatives, I contributed to the broader evolution of the mobile product by refining interaction patterns, ergonomics, and retrieval behaviors that support quick capture and effortless recall. Working within a small team meant design decisions often shaped product direction directly, requiring close collaboration with engineering and leadership to ensure the mobile experience remained cohesive with the wider Mymind ecosystem.
Challenges
Designing the mobile experience meant working within constraints very different from the desktop product. Screen space, attention span, and interaction time are limited, which required carefully prioritizing what matters most in the moment. Instead of relying on dashboards, funnels, or engagement metrics, product decisions were guided through qualitative feedback, long-term conversations with users, and close observation of how people capture and revisit inspiration throughout their day. These constraints shaped the design process from the beginning, shifting the focus toward immediacy, clarity of intent, and interactions that feel natural and trustworthy.
On mobile, the challenge became even more pronounced. Interactions needed to support quick capture, fast retrieval, and fluid discovery without overwhelming the interface with controls or structure. Core actions were repositioned around natural thumb reach and common behaviors, allowing saving, searching, and revisiting content to happen effortlessly while the interface remained calm, simple, and approachable.
At the same time, many familiar mobile mechanics such as feeds, notifications, and attention-driven loops were intentionally excluded. Designing alternative ways to encourage curiosity, rediscovery, and habitual return, without relying on interruption or urgency, became one of the defining challenges of shaping the mobile experience.
Takeaways
By prioritizing immediacy, calmness, and user ownership of information, the mobile experience establishes a different relationship between people and their digital knowledge. Instead of optimizing for activity or accumulation, the product focuses on capturing inspiration in the moment, enabling memory, connection, and effortless rediscovery.
Saved content becomes part of a living knowledge space that evolves with the user over time. Mobile features work together to surface relationships between ideas, helping collections feel accessible and meaningful rather than fragmented or overwhelming.
One of the most important lessons from this work was that restraint can be a strategic advantage.
By deliberately avoiding feeds, notifications, and social comparison, the mobile experience respects attention while still encouraging ongoing engagement through usefulness and discovery.
As part of a small, focused team, design decisions had a direct influence on how the product evolved across platforms. The result is a companion experience that extends the desktop system globally while remaining lightweight, intuitive, and aligned with Mymind’s calm, human-centered philosophy.

Semplice Web
Project Snapshot
Role: Lead Product Designer
Focus Areas: Product Architecture, Editor Systems, Design Tools, Interaction
Outcome: Led a full redesign of the Semplice visual language and core user experience, helped shape and introduce new tools such as symbols, the typography editor, and navigation builder.
Problem Approach
Designing portfolio websites often requires navigating rigid templates or complex content management systems where creative control is limited. Semplice approaches this differently, providing a flexible visual editor that gives designers precise control over layout, typography, and structure, embodying the feel of a design tool rather than a WordPress template editor.
Product Information
At the center of Semplice is the editor experience, the primary environment where designers shape how their work is presented online. Rather than relying on rigid templates or constrained website builders, Semplice provides a flexible canvas paired with a structured layout system that gives creators precise control over layout, typography, and interaction.
The platform is designed to function less like a traditional CMS and more like a professional design tool. Designers work directly on the canvas, adjusting spacing, structure, and visual hierarchy in real time while the system handles the underlying complexity. This approach removes friction from the publishing process and allows creators to translate ideas into fully realized websites without losing nuance or craft, empowering them to build better portfolios or websites.
Alongside these initiatives, I contributed to the ongoing evolution of the product by refining interaction patterns, visual systems, and discovery mechanisms across the desktop experience. Working within a small team meant design decisions often directly shaped product direction, requiring close collaboration with engineering and leadership to translate potential ideas into cohesive product experiences.
Challenges
Working on Semplice meant balancing the flexibility designers expect from professional design tools with the constraints of building on top of the WordPress ecosystem. Unlike standalone design applications, the editor needed to operate within an existing CMS architecture, interact reliably with themes, plugins, and hosting environments, and remain stable across a wide range of configurations. Instead of relying on behavioral dashboards or engagement funnels, product decisions were informed through conversations with designers, support feedback, and careful observation of how people actually build and maintain portfolio websites. This constraint shaped the design process from the beginning, shifting the focus toward clarity, reliability, and workflows that feel intuitive even within a complex technical environment.
Within the editor itself, the challenge became even more pronounced. Designers expect deep control over layout, typography, and structure, yet the interface needed to remain approachable for users building their first portfolio site. The goal was to allow complexity to live beneath the surface while the editing experience remained visual, fluid, and understandable.
At the same time, the platform needed to avoid becoming another generic website builder layered on top of WordPress. Rather than reducing the system to drag-and-drop templates, the challenge was designing tools that preserve creative freedom while still providing enough structure to guide designers toward intentional, well-crafted outcomes.
Takeaways
My time working on Semplice reinforced the importance of designing tools that respect how creatives think and work. Instead of prioritizing speed or automation alone, the platform focuses on providing designers with clarity, structure, and meaningful control over their work, projects and digital presence, empowering them with a flexible system to build.
By approaching the editor as a design environment rather than a content management system, the experience allows creators to shape layout, typography, and interaction with precision. This enables portfolios to feel crafted and personal rather than constrained by predefined templates.
One of the most important lessons from this work was that powerful tools do not need to sacrifice clarity. By carefully refining systems such as typography, reusable components, and layout blocks, the platform can offer depth while remaining approachable.
As part of a small, focused team, design decisions had a direct impact on how the product evolved over time. The result is a platform used by designers and studios worldwide, demonstrating that professional creative tools can remain powerful while still feeling thoughtful, focused, and human.
